3. Exercise

Nearly everybody can exercise, and if someone has the desire to reenter the workforce, it’s overwhelmingly likely that they also have the ability to exercise. What type of exercise a person does and how much of it they do is a personal decision, but the important thing here is that a person has the opportunity to get their blood flowing, get their endorphins popping, and feel as though they are doing something to better themselves. While it may be tempting to belittle this option by making excuses such as not having the money to join a gym, having more pressing matters, or not being in shape, it is important to avoid the trap of spending all day in bed or in front of the TV. Even a short walk around the neighborhood is infinitely better than staring at four walls and thinking about a bad situation.
