10. They Kill Entire Industries and Cripple National Economies

One need only look at American car manufacturing for this point. At one point American automobiles were some of the best in the world. Ford and GM were brands that evoked a sense of American pride and consumer trust. Now the American auto industry is in ruins. 3 of 4 major automakers had to take bailouts from the federal government. GM is embattled over a very serious recall scandal that has cost too many lives. The cost of these cars continued to increase as the quality decline and Americans slowly began to buy more and more foreign cars. Now companies like Subaru, which is headquartered in Japan and thus doesn’t fall under US laws mandating it unionize, are manufacturing their cars in the US and selling a superior product for the same price or lower as many American companies. Is it any wonder Subaru continued to see sale increases as the American companies saw great decline and had to take a handout from Uncle Sam? As more and more of the American economy unionizes, more Americans seek imported or foreign built products.
