10. School Choice
What is it? Who is doing the choosing? Is it the school? The kids? Parents? Americans are split over the issue of school choice. Yet, they overwhelmingly support the right of parental choice when it comes to deciding which school their child should attend. They also support equal opportunity in education. Both these terms get to the heart of what school choice proponents are advocating without leaving vague uncertainties in the mind of the average American. Some of this confusion is due to the fact that the public school system is run by labor cartels and they don’t like the idea of parents being able to choose to not send their kids to poorly performing schools. So use parental choice and cut through the rhetoric.
