7. Our national debt will grow even more as a result

If we look at the Affordable Healthcare Plan, the implementation of Obamacare will add over $1.3 trillion to the national deficit in the next ten years. Nearly $700 million in taxpayer money was spent promoting Obamacare, and further $474 million was wasted on failed state Obamacare exchanges including Oregon, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Nevada. Only 12 states and the District of Columbia have an operating state-based exchange following the collapse of the four state exchanges mentioned above. Less than 2.6 million Obamacare enrollees signed up for plans via state-run exchanges.

There is no doubt, that a government-run healthcare system will add a significant amount to the already monstrous national debt figures. Perhaps it can even become a proverbial straw that will break the camel’s back, and cause the government default or the dismantling of the welfare state.
