10 Companies That Did Business With Nazis
8. Chase Bank
Plenty of banks profited in some way, shape, or form during the war, but Chase Bank takes the cake. The Chase branch in Paris was dealing with the Nazi party throughout the war and the American office knew the entire time. Even after the U.S. entered the war, Chase continued dealing with the Nazis and the home office did nothing about it. Making financial deals and profiting off the suffering of others is bad, but Chase took it a step further. Chase has been accused of freezing a large number of European-based Jews’ accounts, making it impossible to run to an allied country and removing almost all chances of survival. During an investigation done by the BBC, it was found that up to 100 Jewish bank accounts were frozen by Chase during the war.
