Mr. Robert Pimentel was a fourth grade teacher at the George de la Torre Elementary School in Wilmington, California. In January 2013, Mr. Pimentel was arrested and charged with numerous counts of sexual abuse and lewd acts with a child. In June 2014, after pleading no contest in a negotiated plea deal, Mr. Pimentel was sentenced to twelve years in prison for four felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child. As Robert Pimentel retired before the Los Angeles Unified School District School Board could “take action,” he will be receiving his entire pension. He had spent nearly a decade molesting girls between the ages of 6 and 10, is convicted for some of the charges in a plea deal and STILL will get his cut from a pension plan that is seriously bleeding red ink.
