9. The free market stimulates innovation

Free markets generate innovation that produces wondrous new goods and cheaper, better ways to do things. Economic freedom is good, not because it allocates resources efficiently on a moment to moment basis, but rather because it promotes innovation. Businesses with some limited monopoly power emerge naturally, and are healthy, as they provide the incentive and the capacity to keep finding better and more efficient ways. Capitalism means Innovation, and Innovation is a win for the whole society.

The free market is to thank for most of the things we have today that symbolize technological progress. Visionaries like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates can only achieve their dreams under a free market system which allows and encourages thinking outside the box.
