As part of a new initiative to help jump start the American economy, Wal-Mart announced in 2013 that it would increase spending by $50 billion on products manufactured in the United States over the next ten years. Wal-Mart has shown time and time again that it is dedicated to aiding the American economy and workforce. Wal-Mart already spends two-thirds of its budget on products for its American stores on goods made in America. $50 billion spent to this end should make that ratio even higher.
