10 Lessons Employees Can Learn From Entrepreneurs
9. Buy into the vision
Successful entrepreneurs are almost invariably passionate about the service that they are providing. Whether they make ice cream sodas or iPhones, they want to provide their customers with the best possible experience. Unfortunately, most of those whom they hire fail to appreciate that same vision. Buying into whatever it is that the company does, usually by looking at the goods or services from a customer’s perspective, can make a huge difference not only in terms of productivity but also in terms of job satisfaction and attitude. For example, employees working in technical support should consider how their work enables others to achieve their dreams. If an employee can’t see the value of what their company provides, it is best that they start seeking another opportunity in which they have more belief.
