4. The New Deal Provided the US With Long-Term Stability

With a government in capable of living within its means, and which now regularly debates whether or not it will pay its bills, it is unfathomable to say that FDR or his New Deal provided the US with any sort of stability. FDR and the New Deal made kicking the can down the road a go-to method for the federal government. What’s worse, it has born generations of Americans who now think the federal government is the solution to all their problems. Americans who are unable to take care of themselves. Unemployment is record high, the debt is at an all-time high, our unfunded obligations are at unimaginable levels—there is no reasonable way to defend the long-term results of the New Deal or FDR’s era of big governance.
