Elon Musk is a South African born, Canadian-American inventor, investor, engineer, and entrepreneur who is pioneering solar energy technologies, electric cars, and private space exploration, among other things. Cofounder of PayPal, Musk has become a visionary in the advancement of alternative energies, founding Tesla Motors, a company that recently made headlines for making all of their patents public. The hope is that electric powertrain technology will become proliferate and that that technology will be built on Tesla patents, making Musk’s other company, SolarCity, the premier supplier of electric car batteries. Musk is also helping to take humanity to the next step as CEO of SpaceX, the world’s foremost private space exploration company. Is there anything Musk doesn’t do?
